Arrangement & Orchestration
When arranging/orchestrating a piece, there are many factors which affect the writing time (e.g. duration, complexity, ensemble size, digital aspects such as backing tracks, etc.). Some mediums are naturally simpler than others – for instance, a 5-minute piano reduction of an orchestral piece is much simpler than a 5-minute orchestration of a piano piece.
It is an increasingly common trend for contemporary ensembles to make use of unusual instrumentations, as well as classical ensembles to be accompanied by a digital backing track, pre-made by the composer. Nevertheless, I’ve attempted to produce an all-encompassing list of instrumentations below (priced roughly per minute). Regardless of your project specifics, don’t hesitate to get in touch for a discussion via the contact page!
